Yes. Stereo headphones are essential for binaural beats because each ear needs to receive a slightly different frequency for the effect to occur in the brain.
Binaural beats are an auditory illusion that occurs when tones with slightly different frequencies are played in each ear. The brain perceives the difference as a third, pulsating tone. This technique is often used for relaxation and meditation.
Important: Binaural beats only work with stereo headphones!
Go to the “Library” tab and tap the plus (+) icon to create a new frequency. You can find your self-created frequencies under the “My Frequencies” filter. Swipe a frequency to the left to edit or to the right to delete.
In the “Playlists” tab, you can create new playlists using the plus (+) icon. Open a playlist and tap the pen icon (✏️) in the upper right corner to add frequencies. You can adjust the playback duration of each frequency directly in the playlist using the time icon (⏱️).
Under “More > Settings” you can personalize the design. Choose a light or dark mode or use your device’s system setting. There are also color themes: “Automatic” (changes with the time of day), “Day & Night” (two fixed designs) or “Static” (a single design).
This option under “More > Settings” determines how long a frequency is played by default when you add it to a playlist. Later, you can customize the duration in the playlist for each entry individually.
